Hey, I'm here on behalf of Valour of Tyria. We're a fairly small Luxon guild, and we're looking to join your alliance. As a guild we like to do PvE and PvP when we can get a decent group of us together. At the moment we are trying to raise our faction a bit, in the hopes of joining an alliance. We have 6 Officers, most of whom have both Factions and Prophecies and have been playing for over a year now; they're friendly and helpful and have a lot of experience in game. We also have 30 members, although I wouldn't say they're particularly active (since we left our previous alliance, they haven't been very motivated). They're friendly when you get them talking but most are new to the game and need quite a bit of help. I myself have been playing for 13 months and have both games and prefer questing and missions to PvP. In our guild we have quite a strong hierachy because myself and the officers are more experienced than the members. Anyway, thats us, thanks for your time

Nice to hear about you. If you leave some ingame names we can meet and take some joint quest to get better known. How did you hear about us, by the way? What server are you on? As an Alliance we have most active players in Europe but also many in America and also some in Australia
As a guild (SoT)/alliance (7 guilds) we are almost entirely PvE. We try to have a friendly atmosphere and play for fun, not for farming or glory. We do not faction farm.
At least some of us really try to avoid repetative farming/running/trading etc. and concentrate on playing together instead. We mostly play with a any-build-goes approach, and do normally have a rather relaxed party structure. So not many disciplined and highly effiecient farming teams by us.
We are not a particulary rushy bunch. Just setting up an elite mission/UW party might take everything from 30 min to 4 hours but is usually worth the effort. I guess social players that likes to help others (many of us have done Thunderkeep and Arborstone many times by now ;-) ) and not mind doing hard time consuming missions once in a while have a great time by us. If you are geared more towards farming, gold gathering or pvp this might not be the best alliance to join
The Scouts, as well as many of the other Guilds, have a pretty high average age with several players grown up with families and jobs.
Feel free to contact me in game
Regards, Lago Mortis

Hi there!
It is me you whispered last night in game. Thanks for your interest in the alliance.
Lago describes us well. As a guild, and I guess I can say as an alliance, we have nothing against PvP but it doesn't seem as if anyone is really active in that at the moment. And it doesn't seem as if any of the alliance's guilds have any aspirations to owning a Factions town by collecting factions. Our total alliance faction is rather low, and I believe that any factions earned are converted to amber and jade to acquire Kurzik or Luxon armour. So if you join our alliance, you won't have any pressure from any of us to farm factions. On the other hand, you shouldn't expect to ever "own a town" with this alliance.
Being composed of many guilds, the alliance as a whole has many different types of players of many different ages. I would say, however, that in general, we are older players, many of us with families and jobs. Many of us play the game for fun, for PvE, and enjoy doing the various missions and advanced areas (SF, UW, FOW, ToPK, Factions elite missions) again and again with guild/alliance/friends groups. Here we have a lot of fun, play in a relaxed fashion, and we play mostly with balanced teams where any party member can play the character that he/she likes best at the moment. Of course with the exception that at least some monks in the party are needed. We like fun, we like diversity, and we prefer balanced and mixed groups for our outings.
Like Lago suggests, feel free to try to get together with us on some adventures, so you can see what we are like and we can see what you are like. I am always up for anything, and currently have a rather suicidal Assassin trying to get past Cavalon and through the dessert in Tyria, a Rit that is sitting at Ring of Fire waiting for a fun group, plus a few characters that also need to finish Factions.
Oh, another thing in case you are not aware, that our alliance is located both on the American and European servers, and we have several members from Australia. The Scouts are divided between the two servers, and one of our alliance guilds is located mostly on the American server (GxD), while several guilds are primarilly on the European server.

I first heard about you when I was advertising my guild in Cavalon, and one of your members (I suppose) mentioned Twisted Sister Jane, who then told me about your Alliance and play style. Out of VAL, the most active players are Sekadan Neos (myself), Jaloux Jooshe, Devochka Moya, Rich Ardwwww (i'm not sure how many 'w's though), Shifty Sep and Oniki Shadowdancer. These are our officers and I'm sure they wouldn't mind meeting with you. I've spoken with several members of my guild, and they like your play style. Some do faction farm (not too obsesively) too keep our faction up a bit. Most (if not all) of our members are European. If you'd like to get together for some missions or quests, could we set a time, as that will help get some of our members together.
