unsure on this one . Didn't you have similar issues either here or at the GWOnline boards before? I'm assuming you're using the "Master Scout Kaia" account? I'll try using my admin account to see if it's doing the same thing. Let me know if it clears up. Hadus

I'm in as an administrator now and although it's working, I have been bumped off a couple times when moving between pages. It appears to log me off but when I click the "login" link it logs me back in automatically...hehe. Hopefully it's just a bug and will fix itself by the time you restart your PC?
Let me know on this thread. I'll consult their help feature if it persists.
EDIT* - Doing it on both accounts actually. Whenever I click the home page link it drops me off to the home page as a guest. Clicking any of the forum links however signs me in automatically? Weird huh?

Alternately you could delete the cookie, and relogin sometimes that fixes funky stuff.

Have you tried Radicc's suggestion? Deleting the cookies and starting from scratch sounds like a logical next step. Beyond that you could make a new account and I'll make sure you get the admin privileges back. If you'd like me to edit anything in your account (username, password) let me know. I don't know if that would help but it couldn't hurt . You can e-mail that info to me if you like at robertmarshall@comcast.netand then change it back when the account is accessible again? I'd still try the cookies first though.

This doesn't sound exact but I snipped it from Proboards main help forum. Maybe they're related?

As an administrator you should be able to modify your own account profile. If you can see the selection for "group" tell me what it says. From my view it shows you in the administrator group. Maybe if we drop you from there and put you in a moderators group it'll reset itself? I'm not sure it works this way but maybe someone can tell me.... It could be possible that the boards "see" Master Scout Kaia as online based on the IP address but not logged in. This would give the appearance of your name at the bottom but restrict your movement as if you were a guest (which is how you're posting). I know the board stores the IP address, just not 100% on how it uses them. I also noticed you recently requested your password be sent via e-mail. Are you sure you're getting past the login? Maybe logging out and then back in after closing the browser? Sorry....I know you've tried most of this already but thought I'd ask again since I feel helpless and halfway 'round the globe. My next suggestion would be to delete and create a new account?

They use a support forum found here ... support.proboards.com/. It's constantly monitored so hopefully you won't have to wait long for answers If they want input from an administrator that can look at any settings here at our boards please link me the thread you start and I'll be happy to do whatever I can.

Out of desperation I moved your original account to the "Global Moderators" group and placed the Kaia2 account in the "Guild Member" group. Yea....I know, I'm grabbing at straws here.

YIPPIE!!! Finally!! Sorry you ran into so much trouble with that issue but I'm glad to see you're finally in. FYI- I leave my login set to forever also. It's basically telling your PC to keep that cookie (username and password) active for your next visit. I understand many people are concerned about ID fraud etc. etc. but the cookie is stored on your PC so if someone else were to visit this site it's not like your account is open. They'd first have to be on your PC not to require logging in again. It's alot easier also not to have to remember every account for the multitude of sites you might visit only occasionally. Hope that helps .. I'll return your account to administrator. Hadus
