I have started to do some Polymocking, mainly because some of the skills that can be won looked nice. Now who wouldn't want to summon a Djinn or Mursaat? I spent a lot of time on winning the second adversary; the advice in Guild Wiki not exactly being helpful. Changing the order of the pieces finally did it. The next few opponents went fairly smooth, but now I am stuck on Grulhammer Silverfist in Umbral Grotto and he is tough. Especially the second piece (monk) takes a lot in such a way that my last piece is mostly beneath 80% when he starts his last. Advice and shared experiences are welcome!

That depends on which pieces you have. I had the best luck taking one high damage piece, one interrupt piece, and utility piece. I would use either my utility or interrupt guy first depending on what the other dude had. I mostly used the ice imp, earth elemental, and either the skale or the gargoyle myself. It seemed to me that timing stuff was more important that which pieces you had. If your health gets low try to focus on blocking and use the signet that makes your skills do extra damage. Polymock was fun but you run out of people to battle rather fast. I expect arenas for things like polymock and dwarven boxing to pop up if they don't already exsist in the game somewhere. I haven't finished yet.

I have finished al the polymock battles. It really helps if you have one of the pieces you can get in the dungeons. I lucked out a got a Naga Shaman in a dungeon it made it pretty easy to win. You are right about the advice on Wiki some of the battles i had to change the order of the pieces. The summon spells are pretty nice.

I only had the pieces that you win from fighting. Some of them got a little frustrating because I have bad timing.

Yeah, I have horrible timing too. I think I'm still on the third guy. Everytime I decide to battle him, I get close but he eventually wins. I guess practice makes perfect. I do want the Asura Skills that come with winning, but I don't know if I will invest the time in to get them all. At least Polymock isn't like Dwarven Boxing where you practically can't lose.

An important thing I didn't notice for a while is that some pieces actually have more health than others. This can be important when your enemy has skills that damage you more when you are over 50% health - avoid using them there. I tended to take my highest damage, lowest health pieces in first to deal major damage to them, and save the higher health pieces for last.

YES!!! Yesterday I got Grulhammer Silverfist with Earth Ele, Ice Imp and Skale. And today after several tries the last one: Polymock Master Hoff with Kappa, Fire Ele and Earth Ele. Master Hoff is different because he uses all higher level pieces (not the same three all the time) and switches the order of use too. But I did get 1000 Asura points and the Summon Mursaat skill from that. Nice reward after many tries. As Radicc said most can be achieved by very carefully watching what the opponent does, using your blocking and interrupt skills to counter the (mostly slow casting) strongest skills of the other. Perhaps even more important is to wait casting your (heavy energy/damage) skills till after the opponents block is gone. If a skill is blocked you still lose your precious energy. Further: as soon as you are beneath 50% health use the last glyph to do extra damage. Again make sure to time well so this one is not blocked. More advanced timing can be used when your opponent is almost beaten and will soon need to switch to the next piece. If you have only 0-2 energy left and probably being low on health after his switch the next will take you down right away. So try to keep more energy left when killing him by using low energy skills preferably or try to renew your 10e just before dealing the final hit. If you have only 2 left throw in your block for 2 secs, recharge and hit your highest damage skill (after your block and interrupt to steal his energy) before being wiped yourself so your next piece has at least a headstart. Good Luck, Anomander
