I recently capped a new Ritualist Elite called Offering of Spirit. Here is the description of the skill. Sacrifice 17% maximum Health. You gain 5...13 Energy. If any Spirits are in the area, you do not sacrifice Health. It is similar to Offering of Blood, but gives less energy. Yet, if you are near a spirit you do not Sac any health. I tested this out and it seems that you have to be fairly close to the Spirit for the Health Sac to be negated. Also, it works on Ranger Spirits as well as Ritualist Spirits and with the large amount of Rangers in the Scouts and Alliance, I shouldn't have a problem with people bringing spirits in groups So, I was hoping to get some opinions from you all about whether this or Offering of Blood is the better Elite to use for Energy Management. I've been using Offering of Blood for a year now and I really would like to try out new things for Energy Management. Thanks

Alot of monks use energy drain for energy management. Gets you more energy and steals it from your foe. I don't know how effective it is though, since I have yet to try it myself.

I tried to set up Olias as a BiP battery. But I could never get him to cast it. I tried offensive and defensive settings and finally even equipped him with Bip as only skill.
So BiP seems not to work with heros.

Hi Scouts Lago I used my Hero Necro to BR my El Stepp N Fire and he seemed to do OK at it. But being a MM myself sometimes what I'd rather do with this Nerco Hero is set him up with all MM skills. He makes a great MM and no need for me to worry about BoM all the time And now with the new Shambling Horrors I got 3 types of minions about. My LvL26 Fleshy, Bone Fiends, and Shambling Horrors all look wild together. They did The Monster Mash! It was a Graveyard Smash! hehehe Vol I love my Rt. I run a Channel/Restore Build. 16att Channel 13att Restore 4 Spawning. What I do to keep her powered is always have a healing spirit near and use "Essence Strike" a lot. I drop a Spirit of Recuperation down just before battle and anytime after as soon as it recharges, and I use the Elite Spirit of Preservation. Recuperation gives my team a +3 Health regen for 41 sec and the skill recharges in 45 sec. The Preservation hits an ally in the area for 104HP every 4 sec. As long as one of these Healing Spirits is around every 8 sec I hit Essence Strike and gain 5 energy. I also use Spirit Burn a lot as it is only 5 energy and if a Healing Spirit is around it hits for 110 damage. Take care all ~Peace~ Stepp

I haven't tested hero Blood Ritual or Blood is Power yet, but I know the cultist henchman in Prophecies will not cast Blood Ritual on anyone unless their energy is below 1/3 of their maximum.

I haven't tested hero Blood Ritual or Blood is Power yet, but I know the cultist henchman in Prophecies will not cast Blood Ritual on anyone unless their energy is below 1/3 of their maximum. Just did some testing, Olias won't use BiP, but the other necro hero will use it. However, he refused to use it on my ranger, even if my energy reached 0. When Tahlkora had 45 maximum energy, he used BiP on her when she had less than 20 energy. But, when Tahlkora had 38 maximum energy, he didn't use it, even when she dropped down to 0 energy. It doesn't matter if they're set as defensive, offensive or passive, they won't use it differently. I got my energy up to 48 (as a ranger), but they still didn't BiP me. If wearing a staff, Olias will get BiPed when he's low on energy, even if he's maximum is only 33. It seems the necro hero (not Olias) uses BiP based on their target's primary profession and weapon. Ok, I'll stop trying to figure this out, nothing of this makes sense.

I didn't have any trouble getting him to cast the stuff though. I left him on offensive. I gave him the boot after that, he kept trying to sac himself to death recharging my warriors energy everytime I used one skill.

A bit confusing, yes.
I have to set my soul reaping to 0 when I do my test next time. I do not think I was below 1/3 energy for very long at the time (although I tried casting anything to deplete my energy. So he might not have had time to cast it. Which should be weird since he did not have anything else to do, and BiP is pretty fast cast spell.
