I am rapidly becoming disenchanged with Factions (and I do hope this is a temporary thing and will go over ....).
I enjoy playing a Rit and look forward also someday to trying an Assassin. But I am finding the Faction quests tedious and pointless, and am sad to see that my guildmates and other friends seem to be spread out through the world of Cantha, almost nowhere to be seen.
So what I am thinking about is this: How about a few of us getting together sometime and taking our Factions characters little by little through Tyria? The ultimate goal would be to get our characters ascended and UW/FOW ready. But it would also be fun to mix it up with PUGs on the Tyrian side, to try the various missions and quests with a few Rits and Assassins in the group.
This doesn't have to be now, next weekend, or next week. But might be an idea for some of us sometime in the future, when we get tired of the Factions grind. And again, it would be nice to have our Rits and Assassins ascended and at TOA or ToPK or SF for some future trips to these areas.
Lets think about it!

I'm quite enjoying Factions, although whenever I'm in a town I check to see if any guilies are there, but never a sight of a scout. I assumed it was because I was away at the beginning and the rest of you were way up there. Last night in guild chat, I was stuck at the quest to get out into the Jade sea with my rit Twisted sister knot and immediately lots of scouts came to the rescue. Being preoccupied with the build stuff I didnt notice scouts had left the group we joined and got whisked out into the arena, which the group whizzed through with loads of minions - sometimes its difficult to move with so many minions crowding the landscape! So, apolgies to all who turned up to be accidentally spurned. For me, there is some lovely landscape in this area, mountain waterfalls and rushing rivers, and gloomy forests with ruined buildings. I've got a map quest now, a real scout activity. It would be great to do some stuff with you all, and if I'm online I can break off and join, so far apart from last night its been all henches. I must pack in some time in the next 10 days as we're off to Australia for 6 weeks to see my son get married, which is good, but I'm already missing the Guild

Wow, sounds like you are about to have a nice trip, Bow!
For myself there is a delicate balance between wanting to have human and friendly company for all these trivial pursuit quests, and wanting to be able to do them at my own pace. I admit that I haven't been open to or looking for help the past few days, because I imagine that most people that would be far enough along to help would already be beyond me, meaning that they already did the quests I was about to do. Missions are one thing, but I am sort of tentative about doing these menial quests with a party of people who have already done them. Its far better (for me at least) if the others also need the quests.
I guess another thing that has been bugging me lately is that it seems that I almost always (with Pugs) wind up being in a party with one or even two minion masters. Minions a la Lago style are a pleasure to have in ToPK or SF, but doing all these new-to-me missions in Factions while being literally swept along by a hoard of undead minions is simply bizarre! It all becomes so easy, and at the same time so utterly confusing.
But that is all besides the point. The point of this thread was to spark some future interest in invading Tyria with our scantilly clad Rits!
P.S.: My Rit is at Cavalon and struggling to locate and complete enough quests to come up to 10K factions. The 3 Tyrian characters that I am playing most often are at various stages between the Market and Arberstone mission, with lots of skipped over quests. So Bow, and any others, who still are not all the way to Cavalon and wants some company, please call on me!

I think Vizunah was a little difficult to be put so early in the mainland. Anyways, I just finished that last night, and hopefully there will be some room to roam for a bit before I get stuck with another quest. Hoping to make it Cavalon soon.
TSJane, Gawyn will join you on those Tyrian trips if I'm on, change of pace is always nice.

Count me in too. Starbucks Raptor has already travelled to Lions Arch and is aching to show off his Assassin's Exotic Armor in Droks!

Count Djuna in, would definitely be fun to do some missions together with the new classes. I found the factions quests got a bit better once outside the city, and the missions are a lot of fun, but doing any of it alone gets extremely boring fast.
We should feed that hungry devourer with Lulu at last, if the poor thing hasnt starved already!
