Most of us have recently been occupied with advancing our characters through Elona.
However, I (maybe some others as well?) still have some loose ends I very much would like to "tie up". This is particulary the two UW quests "Servants of Grenth" and "Four Horsemen" . They are about the only quests I so far never been able to finish.
Anyone up for Servants in the near future? Saturday 19 GMT - ToA Int 1
"Servants of Grenth"
You get from the Reaper at the Icy Wastes (Smiter area). To reach him may take 1-2 hour depending on party.
I see this quest as a good training for the harder Four Horsemen quest.
4 waves of 6 Terrorwebs, with about 30s inbetween, spawns not far from the Reaper. Each wave split up in 2 groups. One goes for the Reaper and the other for the Ice King (who spawns outside the "Ice tunnel" in the Smiter area).
What we have tried
The "Trap to hell" method did work nicely on the 1st wave. All 6 terror webs died. However, the 2nd wave came too quick, so the trappers did not have time to renew the traps. A few tries with "normal" UW party have failed since we do not kill fast enough. Last try, that so far looks most promising, was to split the party in two groups of 4, each protecting one NPC. Due to the common "too early quest activation"-syndrome and two stupid heros we did not succed, but it looked very promising.
This is how I think we will have the best chance for success:
Split the party in two groups of 3 and 5, each protecting one NPC. The bigger group takes the weaker Reaper and the other
the stronger Ice King + his 4 Ice elemental minions.
1) The two teams take positions.
2) Winter is cast
3) Quest is taken by Reaper team (Important part! 4 out of 5 failed attempts so far have failed due to early quest activation)
I guess we need 2 monks, 2 chars with Winter (2ndary R is working fine). 2 tanks, not necessarily W but someone that can take the MS focus from the npc groups and also do damage. As much heavy damage as possible (fire damage + Winter worked nicely last time). Winter is a very nice skill, both to protect the Water Npc's and the party as well as increase the damage on the terrorwebs. Some interrupts might be nice as long as it does not decrease the damage we deal too much. Too slow killing and the Terrors start to pile up, which can be somewhat "overwhelming"
Loads of Terrorwebs are not that hard if you are prepared.
They do not strip enchantmenst, which is nice. They have one easily mass-removable way of selfheal. Meteor shower can be annoying, but is easy to avoid/interrupt and has long recharge. Mark of Rodgort is cancelled out by Winter. Lots of fire damage though which hurt the npc's badly, but that is, as said before, reduced by using Winter.
Terrorweb skills:
Aura of Restoration
Fireball
Immolate
Lava Font
Mark of Rodgort
Meteor Shower
