OK. I'm working on my Vaquisher title and really would like to go through areas in some sort of order. Currently, I am in Tyria, going through the Ascalon area and I have come upon a roadblock.
In Regent Valley, there were groups of Grawl with Grawl Uldolytes healing the mess out of themselves and others. I managed to take care of them with my normal "me and three hero" build which is myself, and Ele, Koss, Dunkoro and Olias as a MM.
In trying to do the Eastern Frontier and there are groups of 4, 2 Grawl and 2 Healers and I can not get through them for the life of me. Help Help Help. I've tried all the builds I can think of with my me + 3 and have failed.
Can anyone give me a hero team build (remember I am an Ele and the party size is 4) that can effectively get rid of these idiots.
OR, would there be any willing to come with me sometime?
Oh yeah, and Shoshang Trail is about the most ridiculous area to try to get through I've found so far.....

If I'm around, I'm willing to help. Those Ascalon 4-man areas are rough and take a while though, with so many enemies and pop-ups.
I find hammer w/ knockdown to be more useful on my warrior. Since foes attack/move 33% faster, KD + weakness really seem to help rather than my usual sword builds.

I can come too when I'm around.
I don't really have experience with them Uldolythes (only from the original, where we all fougth without noteworthy skills...), though I remember some fights against monk teams later on.
With a MM you might try to switch from Koss to a ranger and use Broadhead arrow.

Another thought - if skill setup didn't change much, they have no hex removal. So '/Me and Arcane Echo + Backfire should do most of your work. Take Empathy as well when you're at it... That way their higher cast and attack frequency actually works against them...

That seemed to work fine on groups with one healer, but it didn't work with two, because the other Grawl would kill us all before I could take out one healer. Maybe I'll take Norgu and the Master of Whispers doing a hex heavy build....Then I have no tank.... Maybe I'll get an 8 man hench team from ToA and spend a few days on line clearing out areas till I get to the Frontier....o gahhhh...

Monks don't do anything when they're knocked down for 4 seconds.

I don't know if the AI is so good at shut down - they interrupt fine, but there they stay focused on one enemy. That is why I suggested that you bring '/Me yourself and target the right enemies (not necessarily those you call on). 11 Dom should do. You can about chain Empathy/ Glyph of lesser Energy/ Arcane Echo/ Backfire/ (Echoed Backfire) / Empathy and then bring some direct damage with your preferred line of magic. Zalis: true. Though you have to knockdown not 1 but 2 or 3 (healers). But I played Mesmer more than warrior, and ele almost not at all, so I use my prefered toolkit . And then I want no knockdown, or else he wastes precious time of my hex which he could spend killing himself ;D

Thanks for all your suggestions. I did manage to get a full complement of me +7 hero/hench. I started at ToA and worked all the way over to the Eastern Frontier, vanquishing a few of the smaller areas along the way but leaving some of the larger areas to vanquish at a later date.
Suffice it to say, all of Ascalon has been vanquished!
