Greetings Scouts I am a returning player to Guild wars after a few months playing various other online games, including RuneScape. Eventually I got bored of switching games all the time, and returned to GW, only to find that my guild had disbanded . I have two level 20 characters, one warrior and one elementalist, neither of which has completed a campaign, however I am working on prophecies at the moment with my elementalist. I came to this guild in the hope that I would find some new friends and fellow adventurers to replace the ones that I lost. I am 15 and live in the UK, and spend most of my free time on Guild Wars, this is between 15:30-20:00 and sometimes even from 23:30-02:00 (GMT). So I am quite a keen player and cannot get enough of Guild Wars. I hope to hear from the scouts soon. Zodiac P.S. My IGN is Zodiac The Fury. Thank you.

Hi Zodiac, thanks for stopping by. I'll add you to friends, hopefully others will too, and we'll meet in-game to arrange an invite.

There isn't anything in particular you need to do to join Zodiac. We do have a policy whereby we generally like to group with you a couple of times (hopefully with an officer as well) so that we can get to knw you and you us and then we can see if you do actually want to join the Scouts. If you do decide that you can put up with us (heh) then we will take you on as a Junior Member where you will be placed on a two week trial within the guild. Once the two weeks is up, we make a decision on whether or not to make you a full member. That's pretty much how it works around here I can meet you online at around 9pm GMT if you like and we can get you through some Prophecies stuff? I usually get on around then ... but if you want to get on earlier then that, i'm sure some of our other members would be happy to group up with you See you later I guess ;D Dante.

Thanks,

Hi Zodiac! Look me up and we can go adventuring together. I'm on at all hours of the day and night, sometimes for ten minutes, sometimes for ten hours!

Thanks for showing me that 55hp Monk build earlier Necron, it was really awesome. Crumbly Biscuits, do you want to arrange a meeting place and time if you're not busy ? I've met with Dela, Dante and Necron and had real fun with them (although i didn't really do anything with Dante, I was talking to him when i was doing a mission and then we met up for maybe a minute then I had to get off the computer ) anyway it was really fun talking to the other members of the guild and playing alongside a few, I would really like to get to know you better as well,
Thanks
Zodiac.

Hi Zodiac, My playing time is a bit limited lately, so I'll throw you an invite next time I'm on if nobody beats me to it, and we can get the trial started. edit: if you edit your Guild Wars shortcut properties and add -image to the end of the target, it will pre-download all the content when you start the game, instead of getting it on-demand. wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Command_line

This is what it says on Wiki: " -image
Guild Wars client is designed to download the streaming updates in the background or when needed, in a way that will not much interfere with the user. This, however means that when a large-scale update is released, users may be required to wait while necessary files are downloaded and decompressed upon entering a new zone. With this switch, you can force the client to download and decompress all the pending updates on start up so you will not have to wait while entering a new area or mission.
The client, when started with this switch, will exit immediately after it is finished with the download and decompression. Do not use this switch in your regular game shortcut. Either use this switch from a command prompt when necessary or make a new shortcut and name it something likeUpdate Game".
"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\gw.exe" -image
Check online forums for the common current size of a gw.dat file, and if your's is much larger, you might want to delete your gw.dat file and then run gw.exe with the -image command. This will usually result in the smallest possible file size for a complete install. The download plus decompression time can take anywhere from 1 hour on a fast system with broad band internet access to several hours. This approach is NOT recommended for dial-up users. " " So basically: 1) Create a new GW.exe Shortcut (name it something different so you don't get confused) 2) Go to "Properties" in the shortcut menu 3) Where it says "Target" add -image at the end with a space between the - and the " Hope that's not too confusing!
