If we did the DoA missions, we may need to split them up into a couple of trips. I understand SF took a long time and some may not be able to dedicate more than a couple of hours.

While the lure of the better reward for doing all of DoA in one go is ... large. I'd much rather be able to enjoy the run and just get the completion. So yes, it might make more sense to plan on doing just one or two of the DoA missions at a time.
(of course if someone wants to order pizza and host a 6+ hour session......)

Well, I have some time off coming up, so should be around on weekends for once (well, for the next 3 weekends at least).
So Flossie's up for any/all of the Elite areas, she's got loads of FoW/UW experience, but needs a bit of time in DoA to get to that nasty Mallyx thing...

Hello! I'm from Tyrian Explorer's League; Crumbly Biscuits posted in our forum inviting us to post here, given how we're considering to making an alliance, and so dual/multi-guild events would be nice.
We have never done all of DoA ourselves, but we did play through the City of Torc'qua and Ravenheart Gloom. Someone mentioned the better rewards for doing all of DoA in one go...That would be too time consuming, I think, but I believe those two areas may be done together if you guys are interested in the extra rewards.
The City isn't hard - we did it twice (one time we were just trying to see how hard it was, and we eventually did all of it just between three of us and heroes, and believe me, we suck : D) and both it wasn't that difficult. Ravenheart has one very difficult part (the first quest there), but other than that it isn't hard either. We did it once, but we failed to do it more than that because we kept dying at the quest (we didn't have a good party composition the second time).
If you guys decide to do some among those two areas, I'm sure we have people in my guild who would love to tag along (I still have two characters I want to take past those areas, for example). And we would be very happy to try the other 3 areas of DoA (the two explorable and the mission) with you : )

Good to hear from you Erasculio (why do TEL have an aversion to smilies?) The direction of this tread seemed to be pointing towards a FoW trip, however if we are getting some cross-guild parties going, we could maybe arrange both a FoW and an DoA trip. I need to do all of DoA, so I'm up for anything in that respect. Plus due to the fact that I'm after statues in the HoM, I suppose I will have to do *all* of FoW again too.

FoW and UW are a bit more accessible to all folks since it doesn't matter which chapter you have....

What about doing Tomb of the Primevil Kings?
It used to be the most fun to do back in the day!

Hi, Erasculio! Another Brazilian in the alliance would be great! I'm up for anything, but whatever it turns out to be, it will probably be during the weekend, so I won't be able to join you (heh, I need to convince my fiancee that I have a life besides my real life! ;D) But have fun everyone!

What about doing Tomb of the Primevil Kings? Does Tombs give you a monument for the Hall? If it does I would be up for MM in Tombs. Been to Fow and UW plenty of times but have never done all the quests. If we do Fow, I'll need a donation of 120 ectos and 120 shards and enough K to get Fow Armor.

The tombs do not give you a statue in the HoM. Not to say I won't be more then happy to take a group through in HardMode for the fun drops and such. I seem to recall it would take just over an hour to do so (well that's with the cookie cutter B/Ps + monk + mm + orders.
Don't forget if we do UW that I'll want to capture the black widows!! (yes and I to will want armor from the great forgemaster)

OK... so before we got FoWing... we need to run a massive number of farming teams either to Tombs (for ectos) or UW (for ectos) or FoW (for shards). So this weekend in lieu of an Elite trip its Elite Farming?

I'm up for whatever everyone else wants to do. FoW armor is not something I want, but the corresponding Elite areas are fun.

The "ideal" Tombs team is uber safe and fast:
Orders Necro MM Necro Healing Monk 4 BP Rangers (with Winnow and Fav Winds spread amongst the group) 5 1 BP Ranger set to pull
(Note B/P = Barrage Pet and not Broad Head Arrow/Poison as this one pug seemed to think).
The safety comes (even in Hard Mode) because the pets act as a tank buffer and create mounds of bodies for the MM - from that point on the MM army keeps all the back row squishes safe. Orders helps increase the damage. This also means the lone monk doesn't have to keep a tank alive - so there's more energy available for the couple sneak throughs.
All that being said: The biggest problem in Tombs is the Fingers of chaos skill which does: "For 5 seconds, your attacks: cannot miss rangers; remove enchantments from monks; cause conditions on warriors; interrupt elementalists; and lose a hex when attacking necros. " So it can make life really rough if they get up to you.
A Nuker could very easily replace a BP - provided the nuking doesn't cause scattering. There's lots of wiggle room for other builds to be added. Pugs just use the cookie cutter because its very forgiving of idiots and clueless twinks!
IMO, the most important points for a good Hard Mode Tombs run is to have an experienced puller and awareness of the traditional "Holy Trio" not working perfectly in there.
